Looking for an event that will combine physical fitness, mental toughness, and teamwork that not only will challenge you individually as well as help give back others in need? Look no further than a GORUCK Challenge. This is an event where approximately 30 people meet at a location disclosed the week before and are taken on "Ruck" (a hike with a weighted back pack filled with bricks and supplies) for approximately 10-12 miles over approximately 10-12 hours. The challenge is led by a former special forces soldier. The participants will endure physical and mental challenges as well as team building activities. In preparation for this event participants are encouraged to running (interval, distance, and hill), strength training, circuit training, as well as workouts designed for the Navy Seal BUDS program. These events usually occur on historic dates and locations that add special meaning to the event and evoke a sense of patriotism for the participants. Half of the proceeds of the registration fee are donated to the Green Beret Foundation and $5 from the sale of each shirt will go directly to The One Fund Boston Foundation to best help those affected by the recent events at the Boston Marathon
Please help us in our cause to better ourselves as well as give back to others!
